Digital Finance and Transformation Lead, Enterprise Performance

Overview We are seeking a Digital Finance and Transformation Lead who will lead a team responsible for driving the adoption of emerging technologies across the Finance function. This includes development of ERP tools for delivering financial performance and audits, integration into cloud platforms, adoption of data analytics, and visualization and robotics tools, as well as incorporating technologies such as artificial intelligence (machine learning and natural language processing) and GenAI as they scale. The Digital Finance Lead will implement a framework for opportunity identification to prioritise areas for transformation, manage staff for continuous scanning of latest technology developments, and assess relevance to the organisation and business needs. As a leadership role, you will be responsible for securing sponsorship for projects, presenting to senior management forums, performing detailed business case and ROI analysis, and developing critical success factors and funding parameters. You will bridge IT and finance, translating accountants’ needs into the language of product functionality and design choices, and advocate for adopting emerging technology to transform how the finance team works. Your team will champion change with a practical problem-solving approach to move from the current to the target finance operating model. You will also deliver and support strategic initiatives as part of transforming the Group’s finance organization towards Next Generation Digital Finance. This includes initiatives across System, Process, Upskilling and Re-culturing, with a focus on change strategies and plans to maximise employee adoption. Responsibilities Understand current digital model: Build a clear picture of existing processes and technologies, pain points, legacy systems, and impacts such as missed revenue opportunities and user dissatisfaction. Define target digital model: Create a comprehensive vision and roadmap that reimagines business and operating models across teams, articulating benefits, synergies, risks, and dependencies; prepare a delivery roadmap. Management across lifecycle: Lead activities across projects and coordinate with stakeholders for requirements gathering, problem definition, solution design, and decomposing work into actionable components. Plan and implement changes to the finance organization emphasizing change management and overcoming resistance to the target operating model. Ensure good corporate governance and compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act, and applicable laws and regulations. Direct ongoing work process assessments and implement improvements to policies, procedures, internal controls, and tools/automations to improve efficiency and service. Foster cross-collaboration among Finance functions and with upstream business units to ensure downstream impacts are understood. Carry out other duties as assigned. Qualifications Degree in Accounting and Finance; professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CPA) are prerequisites. Minimum of 15 years of experience, with leadership/supervisory experience; job grade/title commensurate with experience. Proven track record in finance/digital transformation, including major system implementations and operating model changes in project management or change leadership roles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, stakeholder engagement, hands-on, with a change agent mindset. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with deadlines. Solid understanding of financial processes within Controllers, Transaction Processing, or Commercial Finance, with ability to challenge methods and drive improvements; ability to conduct readiness assessments and present findings clearly.
