Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Events Manager to lead and manage all events for our Kerala cuisine restaurant. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing in-house and external events, including corporate bookings, private functions, festive promotions, catering services, and community engagements. The ideal candidate should be well-organised, customer-focused, and familiar with Indian-especially Kerala-food culture and dining expectations.Key Responsibilities 1. Event Planning & Coordination Plan, organise, and manage all types of events: private dining, birthdays, corporate gatherings, catering assignments, and festive celebrations.Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, budgets, and preferences.Prepare event proposals, quotations, and customised Kerala cuisine menus with the chef.2. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for all event enquiries.Build strong relationships with customers, corporate clients, and partners.Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.3. Operational Execution Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless event setup and service delivery.Oversee logistics including table arrangements, décor, audio-visual needs, and manpower.Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.4. Sales & Marketing Support Develop event packages, promotions, and festive campaigns (e.g., Onam sadya, Vishu celebrations, catering specials).Work with management on online marketing initiatives and partnerships.Identify new business opportunities, including corporate accounts and community events.5. Budgeting & Administration Prepare event budgets, costings, and post-event reports.Monitor expenses and ensure profitability for each event.Manage contracts, invoices, and paperwork related to events.6. Compliance & Safety Ensure all events comply with SFA regulations, hygiene standards, and restaurant safety guidelines.Oversee proper handling of food, equipment, and event materials.7. Team Leadership Lead and train service staff assigned to events.Brief team members on event requirements, customer expectations, and service standards.Ensure smooth communication between FOH and kitchen teams.Requirements Proven experience as Events Manager, Banquet Manager, Catering Manager, or similar role in F&B or hospitality. Knowledge of Indian cuisine, with a strong advantage for Kerala culinary culture. Strong organisational and project management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and manage events simultaneously. Proficient in preparing proposals, quotations, and event documentation. Positive attitude, creativity, and attention to detail.
