Responsibilities
  • Works with external PCBA manufacturers to ensure product quality and manufacturability, serving as liaison between purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues and to provide technical support
  • Assessing supplier manufacturing processes, establishing technical requirements and quality controls.
  • Support the introduction of new products, process validation, and ensuring successful production ramp-up at external sites.
  • Driving supplier improvement plans to reduce costs and cycle times.
  • Provide technical expertise to suppliers to resolve issues and ensure that designs meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Implement and monitor quality processes, define quality flow-downs, and ensure supplier reliability activities are met.
  • Analysis supplier performance metrics, identify systemic gaps, and develop improvement plans to enhance yields, reduce cycle times, and lower costs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with NPI processes, pilot runs, and mass production phases.
  • Experience in working with external PCBA manufacturers
  • A strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, assembly and testing is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with automotive standards (IATF 16949, ASPICE)
  • Understanding of electronic components and IPC standards
  • The ability to analyze complex technical issues related to part quality, machine reliability, and production processes
  • Experience with defect characterization and analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
