An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Research Assistant/Research Associate to join the Centre for Holistic Initiatives (CHILD) for Learning and Development, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. CHILD brings together experts in the field of translational research, child health and development, and implementation science to accelerate the use of evidence in policy and practiceand give every child the best start in life. The successful candidate will support the Centre by i) contributing to research and evidence synthesis projects aligned to the Centre’s strategy and key priorities, ii) undertaking data collection and data processing activities, where necessary, and iii) working as part of multi-disciplinary teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will: Work closely with the team leads, cross-disciplinary research teams and collaborators. Engage in a variety of research-related and administrative activities as required. These can include literature searches and reviewing, preparation of research materials, participant recruitment and scheduling, IRB documentation and management, data collection, data entry and data processing. Contribute to the preparation of reports, papers, and other research-related publications for a variety of audiences. Work with stakeholders from across the early childhood sector. ROLE REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Science, Health Sciences, Public Health, Education, Social Work, Implementation Science). Keen interest in the area of early child development and/or behaviour. Willingness to travel off-site for projects, events or data collection activities where necessary, for example to community centres or childcare centres island-wide, occasionally outside of typical working hours (note, time-off in lieu is provided for work planned outside of regular hours). Willingness to undertake further training in relevant research methods, if required. Excellent command of spoken and written English. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A team player with an ability to work independently. Keen interest in the area of early child development and passion for research translation and communication will be advantageous.
