Data Scientist – Quantitative & NLP Focus

About the Role:

This is a high-impact data science role that blends quantitative research , machine learning , and natural language understanding (NLU) to uncover trading signals from financial news and social media. You'll be building models that directly influence Binance's trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop trading models using sentiment analysis , intent detection , and named entity recognition on text data
  • Apply machine learning to large datasets to identify predictive signals
  • Use statistical and time-series techniques to refine models
  • Backtest strategies, optimize performance, and manage risk
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Stats, Math, or Financial Engineering
  • Solid knowledge of NLU/NLP (e.g., sentiment, intent, NER)
  • Strong coding skills in Python or R
  • Experience with NLP libraries : SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers
  • Skilled in ML frameworks : Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Strong in probability, linear algebra, and time-series analysis
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (for cross-team collaboration with Chinese-speaking counterparts)
