We are looking for an experienced Unix Administrator with strong VMware expertise to join our Environment Build Team . This role involves managing and supporting enterprise-scale Unix/Linux systems and VMware virtualized environments. If you enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges, driving automation, and ensuring secure, stable systems, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (RHEL).
  • Manage, provision, and support VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure system security, patching, and compliance with CIS benchmarks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues, including application-to-database connectivity.
  • Manage file systems, disk partitioning, and logical volume management (LVM), including resizing and splitting mount points.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) or configuration management tools.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for Unix and VMware systems.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, etc.).
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
