About the Role As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will be responsible for: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards for IRAS. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Budget Management: Oversee the annual budgeting process and monitor budget variances. Provide financial insights and recommendations to department heads to optimize budget performance. Strategic Financial Management: Work with senior management to develop financial strategies and guide financial decisions. Conduct financial analysis on business performance, identifying trends and making strategic recommendations. Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring the implementation of risk mitigation strategies. Oversee and manage the company's insurance coverage. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Oversee accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, and payroll. You might be the person we’re looking for if you have: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the education industry. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as Xero, Stripe, PayPal, and relevant banking software. Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. We are looking for someone who: Has a passion for numbers and figures.
