AI Solution Delivery Lead

Overview

Role: Vice President, AI Solution Delivery Lead. Perm/Contract/ Full-time/ Part-time: Permanent. Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid.

Direct Recruiter at Robert Walters Group. This role is being recruited on behalf of a client in the Banking sector. The client is a global bank with extensive history and a large, multinational presence.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, deployment, and governance of AI and GenAI solutions within the Regional Enterprise Architecture Department.
• Formulate the Organization’s AI/GenAI management, AI policies, and standards to support short-term and long-term strategic plans, investment, and enterprise architecture roadmap.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with best practices and drive the adoption of AI technologies across the organization.
• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for AI and GenAI initiatives; establish governance frameworks and policies; monitor and enforce adherence to governance policies.
• Engage with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand needs and promote AI benefits; identify and promote innovative AI/GenAI use cases; support development of custom AI applications, models, and solutions.
• Lead functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures in collaboration with other teams.
• Lead and develop chatbot (ChatGPT) and automation business flow using Microsoft technology stack (MS OpenAI, AI Search, Power Platform, etc.).
• Evaluate Large Language Models from key market players; encourage experimentation and prototyping to drive digital transformation.
• Advise on a broad range of AI-related technologies and ensure security and risk management for AI solutions.

Security, Risk, Training and Enablement

• Implement security measures to protect data and AI models; ensure AI solutions adhere to security policies and standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs to upskill employees on AI and GenAI tools; provide ongoing support and resources; create training materials and tech talks; foster a community of practice.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for AI solutions.

Qualifications and Technical Expertise

• Minimum 12 years of related IT experience, including banking experience; minimum 8 years applying AI to practical technology solutions.
• Professional certifications in Azure, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science; bachelor’s degree related to Artificial Intelligence or Data Science.
• Deep knowledge of AI/GenAI technologies (ML, DL, NLP, generative models); proficiency with AI development frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch); strong Azure Cloud experience (MS OpenAI, AI Search, Form Recognizer, ADLS, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with LLMs (GPT, Llama, Claude, etc.); knowledge of AI governance, MLOps, DataOps; REST API development with frameworks (Django, Express.js, Spring Boot); modern data platforms, NoSQL and RDBMS design; data transformation, BI, analytics, and tools (Talend, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI); strong data analysis, engineering, and statistical modeling skills.
• Leadership and management: ability to lead AI architects/engineers, manage AI products, engage stakeholders, develop strategic roadmaps, and promote innovative AI use cases.
• Governance and compliance knowledge; ability to assess and mitigate AI deployment risks; strong communication, training, and documentation skills; ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
