Overview

Responsible for organizing, supervising, and directing project construction activities to successfully meet project specifications and schedules as Contractor's principal representative to Owner at the jobsite.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, supervise, and direct project construction activities to meet project specifications and schedules as the Contractor's principal representative to the Owner at the jobsite.
  • Form preliminary construction plans including organization, staffing, and administration, subject to review by the Project Manager.
  • Study specifications to plan construction procedures; monitor procurement of equipment and materials to conform to work schedules.
  • Finalize assignment of field construction personnel and mobilization plan of manpower; assemble members of the organization at the start of the project.
  • Authorize work and services to be purchased from outside sources or subcontracted at the jobsite in accordance with construction policy and project economics.
  • Confer with or direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Authorize the field construction schedule and field construction procedures to ensure good workmanship, safe construction, and on-schedule performance.
  • Act as liaison between the Contractor and Owner's representatives in the interpretation of specifications.
  • Receive from subordinates' reports on progress, materials, manpower, and costs, and direct the work schedule.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications. Develop new construction methods to satisfy unusual circumstances and changes from the original plan.
  • Approve jobsite expenditures for labor and services by reviewing cost records, workmanship, material quality and quantity, scheduling, and procurement.
  • Approve safety procedures for all site workers to abide.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree holder in engineering field
  • 5 years' experience in oil & gas, chemical construction industry
  • Experience in executing construction in process/petrochemical plants and storage terminals
  • Degree holder in relevant major
  • Independent, resourceful, diligent and good team player
  • Able to lead supervisors and workers to comply, fulfil project requirements, and meet schedules
  • Expected to perform hands-on duties with acquired skills and knowledge
