Purchaser cum Store Assistant

  • Working Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (Monday – Friday)
  • Overtime: Based on project urgency
  • Salary Range: $1800 -$2800
  • Location: Boon Lay
Purchasing Duties
  1. Identify and source suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
  2. Request quotations, evaluate offers, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  3. Maintain supplier relationships and update the approved vendor list.
  4. Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
  5. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services as per project/department needs.
  6. Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative products.
  7. Ensure purchases comply with company policies and budget requirements.
  8. Track market trends, pricing, and availability of goods.
  9. Able to handle and manage ad-hoc purchase activities.
Store / Inventory Management Duties
  1. Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods.
  2. Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of goods to avoid damage/loss.
  3. Store materials systematically to avoid damage, loss, or expiry.
  4. Maintain accurate stock records (manual or system-based).
  5. Issue materials to departments/projects based on requisitions.
  6. Conduct regular stock checks and prepare inventory reports.
  7. Ensure proper housekeeping, labelling, and safety compliance in the store.
  8. Manage safety stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  9. Manages and oversees the daily activities of the store to ensure smooth operations within the workshop.
Administrative & Reporting
  1. Prepare purchasing and inventory reports for management.
  2. Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment to suppliers.
  3. Highlight and track discrepancies in deliveries or quality issues or short supply.
  4. Support internal and external audits with proper documentation (PO, DO, invoices, stock records).
Requirement
  • Knowledge of engineering / electrical parts preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems and management.
  • Basic accounting awareness.
  • Proven experience in purchasing and/or storekeeping.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
