Role Overview: Our consultant forms a pivotal part of F5 Networks Professional Services delivery organization. The organization provides remote services to customers, covering the entire F5 product portfolio over a variety of environments, including private and public clouds, and enterprise data centres. The Professional Services team supports each other through collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. Prior experience with F5 technologies is not mandatory. Consultants are encouraged to be independent self-starters, to work under limited instructions, and to identify requirements to improve efficiency in completing assignments. You should be capable of building strong internal and external contacts within a team environment and demonstrate communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail and quality. You will be exposed to global customers; fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to audiences of varying knowledge levels.

You will have access to industry-leading training facilities, hands-on labs, and access to extensive information through Domain Specialist groups. If there’s a technology you are less familiar with, we provide the resources to deepen knowledge.

• Deliver labour associated with custom scoped Statements of Work to F5 customers and generate Statements of Work for future delivery.
• Provide technical responsibilities that may include problem identification, systems architecture definition, hardware/software specification, design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
• Maintain expert level proficiency of F5 products and technologies through self-directed and formal training.
• Demonstrate ability to become a trusted advisor within the customer environment, manage customer interaction and engagement, document follow-up, and effectively lead and deliver technical workshops.
• Demonstrate engagement control and develop customer confidence in F5’s ability to resolve critical issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Identify additional product/services opportunities within the customer’s organization.
• Mentor other team members.

• BS/BA degree and 15+ years of relevant experience, focused on architecture and design of Application Delivery and Security solutions (Load Balancing, Network Firewall, Application Firewall, IP-SEC, VPN, SSL, etc.).
• Hands-on capability to work independently and with a team to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of F5 products and technologies (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM, AFM).
• Experience across core technical areas: IDS/IPS, public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization and containers (Kubernetes, Docker), configuration management and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins), CI/CD and DevOps, OS (Linux/Unix/Windows), networking and HTTP protocols, and scripting/development (Python, Ruby, Shell).
• Certifications for one or more F5 products or security certifications (OSCP, OSWE, GIAC, CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
