Impact of Role

Execution Discipline: You will embed structure and consistency in how we execute projects enabling cross-functional teams to deliver on time, on scope, and with confidence.

Delivery Rhythm & Visibility: You will lead the Transformation Working Group (TWG) rhythm and PgM cadence surfacing blockers, resolving trade-offs, and ensuring senior stakeholders have visibility of risks and delivery outcomes.

Resourcing & Dependency Management: You will proactively identify cross-functional gaps in delivery especially at businesstech intersections and work with enablers to ensure readiness, continuity, and accountability.

Capability Uplift: You will strengthen the project management ecosystem by building tools, processes, and coaching pathways that raise the standard of execution across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Programme Management Discipline: Manage a team of PMs and delivery leads to drive successful execution across the transformation portfolio. Instill consistency, clarity, and accountability across all initiatives.
  • Steward Transformation Operating Rhythm: Own and evolve the cadence of the Transformation Working Group (TWG), surfacing risks early and enabling timely, data-driven decisions by senior leaders.
  • Ensure Delivery Readiness: Collaborate across business, technology, and enabler teams to anticipate constraints, align dependencies, and resolve blockers. Escalate trade-offs and secure support for critical initiatives.
  • Institutionalize Performance & Benefits Tracking: Co-create a unified view of delivery health, cost, and benefits realization with Performance Management. Ensure insights are captured in Kiplot, PowerBI, and monthly ExCo reviews.
  • Drive Project Assurance and Uplift: Lead project reviews (ACRs, PIRs) and capability assessments across the portfolio. Develop PgM maturity through tools, templates, and coaching interventions.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned and embed them into future wave planning. Cultivate a culture of ownership, excellence, and learning within the PgM team.
Competencies and Behaviours Expected

Execution Rigor: Brings a disciplined and structured approach to project delivery. Holds teams accountable to timelines, milestones, and value realization.

Strategic Alignment: Connects day-to-day project delivery with broader transformation outcomes. Navigates ambiguity while keeping teams anchored on what matters most.

Rhythm Stewardship: Establishes and maintains an effective operating cadence across initiatives and forums (e.g., TWG), ensuring timely escalation and aligned decision-making.

Stakeholder Influence: Builds strong working relationships across business and tech, earning trust by consistently delivering with clarity and ownership. Able to influence senior stakeholders through insight and preparation.

Systems Thinking: Connects the dots across complex interdependencies and competing priorities. Sees beyond immediate deliverables to longer-term impacts and risks.

Communication Excellence: Communicates clearly and confidently in verbal, visual, and written formats. Translates delivery data into compelling stories for decision-making.

Role Requirements / What You Bring to the Team

You are a delivery leader who thrives in complexity. You bring both the structure to run large-scale programmes and the influence to mobilize people, resolve issues, and drive execution across business and technology.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how Prudential delivers not just what we deliver. You are energized by systems, cadence, and culture and ready to lead a PgM function that is disciplined, high-impact, and continuously improving.
