As a Mid Market AE in APAC, you'll fill a key role in acquiring new customers and creating raving fans. You will be a champion of the entire sales process from start to finish, using creative prospecting to strategically pursue net new business. You will work through complex deals, stay curious, and strive to lead and succeed. Out-of-the-box thinkers who won't settle for the status quo are encouraged to apply.
As a part of Gong's sales team, you will become a master of discovery and a strategic business partner for prospective customers. NOTE: This position is a hybrid-based role (office 3 days a week and remote).
Responsibilities- Drive new business growth within a greenfield territory, managing prospects from lead generation to closing, while positioning yourself as a trusted, consultative advisor; build deep relationships with customers to understand their business goals and objectives
- Develop tailored account plans for your assigned accounts that align with Gong's overall strategy, identifying key decision-makers, regional nuances, buying processes, current investments, and new revenue opportunities
- Effectively communicate Gong's value proposition to potential customers, generating excitement and enthusiasm about our solutions
- Continuously refine and optimise messaging to scale outbound prospecting efforts driving the majority of new opportunities through self-sourced activities
- Engage and educate senior executives on the importance of the Revenue Intelligence industry and validate Gong as the leader in this market
- Partner with the SDR, Sales and Sales Engineering teams to develop account-based sales strategies to uncover value for all go-to-market department leaders
- 4+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably selling a complex SaaS solution to Mid Market clients requiring a multi-threaded approach
- Track record of overachieving revenue targets and successfully navigating and closing big deals in complex sales cycles
- Experience selling to senior leaders such as the C-Suite, CROs, and other key go-to-market stakeholders within enterprise organizations
- Hunter mentality with a passion for and demonstrated success of securing new logos across new categories
- Proven experience utilising MEDDPICC or a similarly effective value-based selling methodology to address complex customer needs
- Previous SaaS and enterprise software experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present them clearly
- Experience with Gong.io preferred but not required
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and well-organized
- Experienced in selling transformation/visionary solutions, especially where there isn't an obvious budget
- Comfortable leading technical presentations/demos and owning the full customer lifecycle from prospect to close
- A team player with high integrity and grit
