The Opportunity

Our client is a globally recognized, independent consulting firm specializing in key industries such as energy and resources, financial services, the public sector, and telecommunications. Unlike traditional consultancies, the firm is partner-owned and operates under a decentralized model, free from external software or system vendor affiliations. They are known for their collaborative approach, working closely with clients to design practical, data-driven strategies and implement transformative change. Their deep sector expertise—especially in energy transition and digital transformation—helps clients build operational excellence and achieve sustainable outcomes. Additionally, they are recognized as one of the few management consulting firms with dedicated AI expertise. They are currently seeking a Commodity Trading Data & AI Engineering Manager in Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the execution of data engineering and artificial intelligence projects tailored for clients in the commodities trading sector.
  • Develop automated systems for trade analytics and risk oversight.
  • Create and maintain data integration workflows and advanced reporting tools.
  • Provide technical insight to enhance broader advisory services.
  • Spearhead efforts to modernize and digitize trading operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Previous professional experience in commodity trading (e.g., as a trader, in trading operations, or as an analyst)
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in data engineering
  • Demonstrated involvement in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning within trading environments
