A postdoc position is available in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National University of Singapore under the direction of Dr. Jing Yan. This role involves design, synthesis, and characterizations of water-soluble redox-active molecules used for aqueous organic flow batteries and electrochemical CO2 capture.
Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field (completed by start date).
Required Skills
  • Expertise in design and synthesis of redox molecules
  • Experience in organic synthesis and characterization.
  • Ability to independently design synthetic routes and execute research projects, with a track record of high-quality publications.
  • Analyse chemical properties using NMR, LC-MS, IR, etc.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
  • Write papers, reports, or patents
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with green chemistry or flow electrosynthesis.
  • Ability to supervise students
