The Opportunity:

Grafana Labs is hiring a Developer Community Programs Specialist to support and grow our open source and developer communities, with a focus on the APAC region. You'll be the boots on the ground—organising events, managing community engagement, and making sure contributors feel recognised, connected, and empowered. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role for someone who thrives on building community from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Organising and supporting community meetups across APAC in partnership with local organiser
  • Managing regional conference sponsorships, including logistics and community presence
  • Representing Grafana Labs in both online and in-person events (travel up to 30%)
  • Collaborating with affinity-based communities to explore partnership opportunities
  • Enabling internal teams to participate meaningfully in community initiatives
  • Handling incoming community requests and helping triage opportunities
  • Monitoring community health and identifying emerging needs or gaps
  • Managing swag logistics and contributor recognition efforts
  • Leading scoped community projects quarterly and one larger initiative annually

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Located in Singapore
  • 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities at any scale
  • 2+ years of experience running meetups, conferences, or similar events
  • Empathetic and skilled at building relationships across diverse communities
  • Project ownership experience with creative, thoughtful program improvements
  • Highly organised and capable of juggling multiple deadlines
  • Analytical and detail-oriented in executing community-facing programs
  • Independent and proactive in a distributed, global team
  • Comfortable using platforms like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or similar)

Bonus Points For:

  • Hands-on experience in open source communities
  • Familiarity with observability or Grafana Labs technologies
  • Proficiency in additional languages

Compensation & Rewards

In Singapore, the base compensation range for this role is SGD 100,000 - SGD 120,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes—RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
