The incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong background in accounts receivable management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment and resolving any payment discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service
  • Negotiate payment terms and settlements with customers.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)
  • Issue invoice for recharge to both intercompany and third party
  • Send tax invoices to customers, including upload to customers’ portal
  • Record payments from customers and assign to respective tax invoices
  • Prepare and send statement of account to customers on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and send aging analysis on a weekly basis, including payment status
  • Perform customer reconciliation
  • Take on credit controller role in credit risk mitigation
  • Ensure AR month-end closing is completed by first working day
  • Verify and process staff claims
  • Assist in audit and tax queries and requests
  • Any ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent, or above
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
