We serve clients globally with research coverage across developed and emerging markets. Our analysts are based in offices in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Sydney and Melbourne. We have one role open for a Research Analyst to join our Emerging Markets Equities team, reporting to the CIO of Emerging Markets Value Equity. Fluency in Mandarin is required. Location: Singapore Responsibilities Conduct research into publicly listed companies and related entities to understand the business and industry, develop detailed financial projections, and provide insights into valuation. Make strategy‑appropriate investment recommendations based on a thorough understanding of company, industry and market dynamics for AB’s clients. Engage in team‑based problem solving, information sharing, and research discussions. Collaborate with AB’s Responsible Investing team to evaluate environmental, social, and governance aspects of the companies we invest in. Meet with company management teams, research providers, data vendors, industry leaders, etc. Travel as necessary to AB offices, industry conferences, and to visit companies under research. Collaborate on the production of marketing and client communication materials. Uphold AB’s fiduciary obligations, adhere to our Code of Conduct, and uphold AB’s reputation with clients and in the broader industry. Promote an inclusive culture and support diversity of backgrounds, experience, and thought. Qualifications Highly motivated with a track record of academic and professional success in relevant fields. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in finance, strategy or related areas. Preferably experience in equities research, financial services, management consulting, or direct industry experience. Strong problem solving and quantitative skills, including Excel modelling and interpretation of financial statements. Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin. Experience living and working in an emerging market and interest in foreign economies, businesses, and cultures; some fluency in a relevant foreign language preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic environment; ability to engage in vigorous, respectful debate. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and development.
