We are working with an Insurance company, and as part of their continued growth, NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their Singapore team.
Position Overview: Play a key role in determining pricing, managing underwriting activities, and driving business growth while adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend pricing and terms for new business and renewals within underwriting authority.
- Collaborate with actuarial teams for portfolio analysis and take actions based on insights.
- Execute local and regional underwriting strategies to meet financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Review complex risk submissions and make informed underwriting decisions.
- Manage the end-to-end underwriting process, ensuring adherence to guidelines and MAS requirements.
- Plan and implement online portal rollouts.
- Provide technical advice to business units.
- Support and execute business initiatives and ad hoc projects for future growth.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 4 years of technical underwriting experience in P&C, Financial Lines, and Bond lines of business.
- Diploma in any discipline; insurance certification preferred.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong eye for accuracy.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
