Role Objective:

As a key member of the Strategy & Commercial Operations Department within the Growth & Emerging Markets (GEM) Singapore HQ Organization, the Governance & Operations Head plays a crucial role in advancing Takeda’s strategic plans and initiatives aimed at achieving commercial success. 
This role involves supporting the development of distinctive commercial strategies, long-term growth initiatives, and projects tailored for GEM markets. These efforts are informed by deep customer insights and comprehensive market and competitive analyses, essential for steering GEM’s portfolio of in addition to managing GEM Governance.

How will you contribute:

Critical Functional Knowledge

Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the GEM markets, identifying business opportunities and developing analytics-based strategic plans. Capable of establishing cross-functional and geographic partnerships, driving actionable decisions to achieve both short-term and long-term growth targets, and operational excellence. Exhibits proven interpersonal and leadership skills, effectively influencing and building credibility with Area/Country functional teams and collaborating with them to implement key initiatives. Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of governance and operational initiatives, continuously identifying areas for improvement. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational business risks, ensuring the resilience and sustainability of emerging market operations.

Strategic Governance and Alignment

Develop and Maintain Governance Framework: Create and implement a robust governance framework tailored for emerging markets, ensuring compliance with corporate standards Ensure Strategic Alignment: Align governance initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring that emerging market operations contribute to the overall corporate vision and mission. Policy Development and Enforcement: Lead the development, communication, and enforcement of policies and procedures that promote effective governance and operational efficiency across all emerging markets. Drive Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency in emerging markets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality outcomes Indirectly impacts GEM strategy and P&L business planning. Contributes to the successful implementation of GEM's medium and long-term strategy and vision.

Role Requirement
