In APAC, we are embarking on the next exciting phase of our development. With a deep digital heritage, we are continually evolving by building out our omnichannel capabilities, growing our footprint, and launching new products and services. To help us reach our potential, we are expanding our senior team to bring in new skills, thinking and expertise.

 

We are looking for a Head of Solutions, APAC to join us on our journey. This is a newly-created role, reporting directly into our CEO of APAC, that focuses on driving our product offering, capability and visibility in the region. It is a fantastic opportunity to be an instrumental part of the next chapter for the agency. The position will suit someone who thrives on spending time with partners and clients and driving product innovation to unlock new areas of growth, whilst also leading departments to produce exceptional quality output. 

 

Our ideal candidate is an articulate and visionary leader in the media agency domain; someone who has delivered award-winning work across multiple APAC markets and who has demonstrable expertise devising and implementing products and strategies that continually redefine expectations of what agencies can deliver.

 

We are looking for somebody with deep digital knowledge who can connect the dots with traditional media in an increasingly omnichannel world, who is immersed in data and technology and who is at the bleeding edge of industry innovation. With an inspirational personality, our choice of candidate will motivate our teams, deliver game-changing solutions for our clients, and boost our visibility in-region. They will have a deep understanding of how to turbocharge our proposition and oversee innovation from conception to delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY

The role entails 50% of time being externally-facing, and 50% being internally-facing.

Internally- Facing

  • Design, shape, and continuously evolve and improve our regional proposition - blending our digital heritage with onmichannel and future facing solutions
  • Co-creation across the agency's product offering - creating complimentary solutions that bring our Experience & Activation, Connections & Insights + Data & Tech Consultancy together
  • Driving active collaboration between offices - driving space for active sharing, collaboration and support to elevate all teams in all markets
  • Driving internal innovation - lead and inspire our internal teams, ensuring that the work we are delivering is both leading edge and of the highest quality
  • Elevating our talent - This includes direct line management of our APAC Propositions Leads with a focus on development, mentoring and objective achievement
  • Opportunity development – identifying opportunities across the region, developing products and services, and bringing them to market

Externally- Facing

  • Client leadership – bringing visionary thinking and solutions that will move the needle to our clients in partnership with our Client Experience team
  • Partner relationships – Working with publishers and vendors throughout the region to drive reciprocal growth; structuring deals and JBPs and build a deeper partnership
  • Thought Leadership - Spearheading thought leadership across marketing and PR initiatives that positions us as being market leading
  • Drive growth – working with teams and leaders from across Assembly APAC to pitch and win new business and cross-sell opportunities, crafting and presenting solutions that clients need and want to buy.
  • Collaborating across the Network and our Affiliates for joint solutions – identifying complementary capabilities and teaming up to create a stronger solution to take to market

Requirements

  • Significant agency-side experience required with substantial time spent leading large scale teams and departments.
  • Substantial expertise in both digital and traditional media.
  • A deep understanding of the requirements and opportunities across multiple APAC markets.
  • A proven track record of driving thought leadership and best-in-class performance with distinct, cutting edge and outside the box perspectives
  • Superb communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interface confidently with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and to identify and implement opportunities for improvement
