Regional Senior Category Manager F&B, APAC

As the Regional Category Manager, you will charter the way forward for the Symrise F&B portfolio within APAC being the product matter expert by acting as the main point of contact between both internal & external teams and customers communicating and collaborating as well as other client groups to ensure key accounts requirements are met through well-defined projects. This candidate will be instrumental in creating the category strategy, influencing the F&B product portfolio from new product ranges, margin, product life cycles, value proposition and route-to-market which will ensure Symrise’s competitive position in the marketplace. The Position:

Develop & execute regional APAC Category strategy for the F&B portfolio to deliver on aligned growth ambitions Manage the entire full lifecycle of assigned category (price, product lifecycle, value proposition, gap closure, route-to-market, and competitive landscape) Responsible for managing of market & business intelligence in Asia Pacific

Influence F&B portfolio, product promotions and work towards securing new business opportunities

Initiate new product development in partnership and collaboration with other internal and external clients’ groups Monitor the status of the projects in close coordination with internal project teams Ensure work, initiatives and projects translate into Symrise’s positioning within the marketplace and coordinate quarterly milestones and timelines and monitor the status of the projects in close coordination with internal project teams. Align with global network/ecosystem on new business models/local production opportunities. Lead market & business intelligence with global and local stakeholder. Influence portfolio, product promotions and work towards securing new business opportunities in collaboration with sales and market leads.

The Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or chemistry disciplines Min 10 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Sales. Business Development, or Key Account Management, Marketing within Flavor, Food Ingredients, FMCG industries Strong knowledge of commercial & marketing trends within Food & Beverages, Flavor from both a Technical & Commercial perspective Possess strong commercial & analytical acumen outlook complemented with regional business experience Ability to translate abstract data and insights into meaningful customer relevant, commercial initiatives Effective project management and facilitation within cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders Strong solution-based selling and communication skills in stakeholder engagements to drive growth agenda Self-disciplined, result-oriented, and excellent time management & organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively across countries, cultures and enjoys working through influence Computer literate with competence in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP etc.
