Head of Events

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced leader who has experience in conceptualising and delivering excellent events. You must care deeply about delivering great experiences for our members. As a leader and part of the management team, you will not only lead your team but also work closely and collaboratively with other Heads of Departments. You will have full P&L and operational responsibility for Events and will drive the Event Calendar for the company.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of Events from generation of ideas, building relationships with members and corporates, ensuring delivery of exceptional event experiences, recruiting and leading your team to operational and financial responsibilities for Events.
  • You will be responsible for Event calendar and P&L and all related processes including organizing, mobilizing and/or coordinating the staff, working closely with other HODs from Membership, Kitchen and Front of House teams to ensure the successful execution of an event from start to end. You will be responsible for overall flow and member and guest experience, including getting feedback and driving improvements in processes and experiences.
  • You will be in-charge of leading the Events team including recruitment and training. You will be involved in planning and overseeing the recruitment and intensive/adequate training of required staff needed for effective execution of events. This includes developing and implementing SOPs and guidelines for the proper execution of the event.
  • You will be able to build relationships, deal with members, sponsors and corporates effectively, and be able to work flexibly under pressure, finding solutions to issues as they arise and especially in challenging circumstances.
  • For key events, you will be the point person on site and on hand to supervise and ensure excellent delivery of the event. For smaller or simpler events, ensure that the person-in-charge has had the necessary support and is able to ensure effective oversight of the event.
  • You will work closely with the Group Events Concepts Director to develop and plan an exceptional event calendar. You will present upcoming events and themes to the management team monthly. You will work closely and cooperatively with other Events Country Heads to exchange and share ideas and ensure brand ethos and consistency across the group.
