[What the role is]
Landfill Management and Operations Department (LMOD) oversees Semakau Landfill which is Singapore’s only landfill for waste disposal.

[What you will be working on]

As an Executive Engineering Manager/ Engineering Manager/ Assistant Engineering Manager at Semakau Landfill (SL), you will:

Lead your team in supervising the resident contractor in landfill operation, the operation and maintenance (O&M) of landfill equipment, vehicles and floating platform, and to ensure high availability of the landfill equipment to meet operational targets.

Lead your team in supervising the resident contractor in the O&M of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment, ensuring that they are operated safely, and regularly maintained to achieve high availability.

Prepare and call quotations for the supply of spare parts for the landfill, M&E equipment and building maintenance services.

Prepare and call tenders/quotations for work and services, administer contracts and supervise the contractors in carrying out their works according to contractual requirements.

Perform any other works, duties and responsibilities assigned.

[What we are looking for]

Diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil or mechatronic engineering.

Experience in the O&M of heavy plants (dump truck and excavator etc.), diesel engines, generator, mechanical and electrical control systems, and procurement of spare parts and services will be advantageous.

Good leadership quality and supervisory skills.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Willing and able to work at an offshore landfill environment

Able to work on average of one Saturday and one Sunday per month on rotating dayshift, including overtime or change of working hours if situation required.
