About the Department

BlockChain and Digital Assets acts as the Center of Excellence to look into applications of blockchain and digital assets to prepare the Bank for eventual pervasiveness of blockchain technology in the financial markets and be ready to manage our clients’ digital assets. 

We focus on harnessing this innovative technology to transform assets with real economic value to facilitate more efficient transactions, settlements, enhance financial inclusion, and unlock economic value for the bank and our clients.

Job Responsibilities

Capital Markets

Act as a SME for Capital Markets products, interact, solicit requirements, and advise senior-level business users. Translating product and service ideas into project plans. Work closely with business users and project team members on project initiation, implementation and post-implementation support. Lead requirement gathering, define functional and non-functional requirements and get agreement from various stakeholders on the solution and design while complying with existing standards, guidelines, and processes. Propose alternate solutions to meet or improve the desired objectives based on best practices, industry solutions, user requirements and influence the desired outcomes. Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables throughout the project implementation Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, business partners and internal stakeholders; acting as the key contact point for day-to-day operations.

Business Management Support
Willingness to take on Business support functions such as:

Staff On-Boarding/ Off-Boarding Support Office Admin Team Support: Meeting scheduling. Coordinate functions, training sessions etc. Compliance matters

Job Requirements

Degree in business or related field. 5 to 15 years of experience in capital markets across front, middle and back office. Good knowledge of Capital Markets and securities settlements , Blockchain and Digital Assets including its practices, competitors and typical problems that it faces and willingness to keep abreast of advancements. Knowledge of CBDCs and digital currency is a plus. Demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, critical and creative thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Meticulous and attention to details.  Committed and conscientious personality, to take ownership and responsibility to ensure complete follow-through to problem solving. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company information Strong drive to remain focused, self-motivated and committed to completing or achieving tasks. Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
