About the role:

This role is responsible for delivering energy, carbon & sustainability scope within JLL’s overall scope of service to our Client, working as part of the our dedicated Sustainability team.

The key deliverables of the role are to ensure that reporting cost and consumption requirements are achieved, driving energy efficiency across the property portfolio, and implementing wider sustainability programs in line with the client environmental objectives.

Additionally, by working with the wider JLL ESS team, this role is responsible for expanding the existing service delivery for the client.

This role requires a high level of both technical engineering/science expertise, client relationship management skill and team management.

What this job involves:
 

Ensuring delivery of sustainability scope of service to the client Collaborating effectively with other JLL service lines on the account (Real Estate, Finance, Projects, Operations, Engineering and procurement) to deliver an integrated energy and sustainability solution to the client Maintaining strong relationships and an appropriate governance structure with key client stakeholders Delivering and overseeing accurate and timely critical reporting, including internal, corporate, and legislative reporting requirements Delivering and recording sustainability initiatives and events Coordinating effectively with the client to secure funding and approvals for projects, and liaise with project managers, facilities managers, designers and consultants to ensure works are delivered to a high standard, and that savings / benefits are achieved as anticipated Measuring and reporting on the energy savings achieved from sustainability projects Effectively tracking and communicating success stories to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement is achieved with regard to the overall energy and sustainability program Demonstrating innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the client, and ensuring they are rolled out effectively Providing strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance and expand service delivery to the client, including leveraging supply chain partners, internal collaborations and the broader Energy and Sustainability Services team, to ensure that the client is well placed for long-term growth and success in the energy and sustainability area Development and implementation of a Sustainability Management Plan (SMP), including legal compliance, risk management, internal reporting of energy usage, water use, waste and recycling and sustainable procurement. Manage the sustainable procurement program and provide guidance to the team on the client requirements Development and delivery of training and educational materials based on JLLs best practice knowledge from around the world & any sustainability training programs required to be delivered on behalf of client. The Regional Sustainability manager will be an on-call resources for stakeholders to direct questions around implementation of sustainability and environmental obligations Ensuring that all activities under our operational control are conducted and operated in accordance with relevant environmental legislation and/or guidelines Additionally, the Regional Sustainability manager shall periodically monitor risks that may be outside of operational control to ensure that environmental risks are under adequate control

3 to 5 years’ experience in delivering sustainability initiatives /projects, energy, water, and waste reduction programs, emissions reporting, energy audits or in a related role Knowledge and experience on LEED certification, WELL / Fitwell certification, Green Building programs, Green procurement etc. will be an advantage Proven change agent, collaborator, problem solver, creating win-win outcomes Hold gravitas and vision required for a role of this scale Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Technology / Environmental Science / related field. LEED, WELL, CEM, etc certifications will be an advantage
