Lead a highly motivated team in the production of the quarterly external IFRS reporting for the CorSo APAC Region, including quality analytics and storytelling of the IFRS results Establish, develop and evolve the quarterly reporting timetable and processes in conjunction with other Group Finance and CorSo stakeholders Strong stakeholder management of the key input and output providers of the IFRS production process, including, but not limited to Central Accounting and Reporting, Carrier Management, FP&A Critically review the reported outputs from the IFRS quarterly process in order to gauge quality, push back on sub-standard deliveries, and present suggestions for continued improvements Assist in the interpretation of policy work and ensure process and system changes within the IT landscape Lead change management of established quarterly reporting process and applications used for existing Group Level reporting (US GAAP, Swiss Stat), and the transition to IFRS reporting Coordination and alignment with the Business Unit IFRS production teams, to establish best practice across CorSo. Identify gaps/deficiencies in our processes and resources and take improvement actions Critical issue process management Maintain robust control environment, cooperate with governance team on control design and subsequent assessment of control effectiveness. Support Regional CFO to execute target operating model changes to our processes and team structures to ensure fit for purpose under the new Group IFRS reporting regime

About the Team

This role will report to the CFO APAC and be part of the CFO APAC Management Team. It will lead a team of 3 professionals working on the production of IFRS for the Corporate Solutions APAC region. The main stakeholders include Corporate Solutions Business Unit CFO, Group Accounting, IT and various others

About You

Educational/Professional

University degree (Accounting or Finance) with CA/CPA More than 15 years' work experience in the insurance / reinsurance business Proven track record of leading finance teams and related management experience Solid understanding of IFRS 17 accounting for and experience in external reporting Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences, with demonstrated ability to inspire and influence without authority. Strong analytical skills, able to distil and articulate complex issues clearly and concisely. Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture. Solid execution and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines. Strong organizational skills, able to manage in a calm and structured manner multiple deliverables, competing priorities and moving timelines Agile and adaptable to work with teams across borders in offshore locations, across cultures and time zones.
