Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Key Responsibilities
Developing complex, enterprise-transforming applications using big data AND open source technologies Solution designing for complex Hadoop related problems Hands-on coding using Scala and Pyspark to write distributed programs with Hadoop micro batch architecture Collaborating with different technical, delivery and users to build quality software Develop cross technology applications for Asset & Liability Management and various regulatory risk engines Furnish the business domain deeply and working closely with business stakeholdersRequirements
8 - 10 years of experience in application development of which 5+ years in banking 4+ years hands-on experience in Hadoop eco-system (including Spark, HDFS, Hive, Kafka, ELK etc.) Hands-on experience in back-end programming, particularly using Scala Hands-on Spark programming skills Hands-on experience in data ingestion frameworks such as Apache NIFI, Scoop and Flume Analytical and problem-solving skills; the implementation of these skills in Big Data domain Full stack Java development Good understanding of design patterns Proficiency with Tivoli Workload Scheduler, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins and GITGood to have
Additional experience on developing Microservices architecture based applications Additional experience on Machine learning and data science Excellent analytical skills; Proficient in MS Office and able to produce board-level documentation Good communication and interpersonal skills Self-starter who sets and meets challenging personal targets; Understanding of current technologies employed by Tier 1 Investment Banking Institutions Must be a team player-
