As a Senior Manager supporting MS&T Department , you will lead the site MS&T team, which is responsible to maintain and improve the scientific oversight of the manufacturing processes, products and technical changes proposed, be the relevant body of technical knowledge and capabilities as it pertains to process and product stewardship including technical transfers to the site. It also includes providing technical support to the manufacturing team through ownership of technical changes and investigations.
In Operational Excellence , the role is responsible for developing the strategies and capabilities for implementing continuous quality and productivity improvements, to deliver measurable business targets aligned to the strategic site objectives. The role includes ownership of the site strategy master document that details a multi-year strategic planning across all functions of ASM, identifying near to long-term targets that is aligned with global priorities for the site. The role will also provide project management oversight across all the functions to ensure optimal allocation of resources for effective project completion.
Major Accountabilities
Accountable for the execution of activities as stated in site validation master plan.
Support excellence in manufacturing through standard setting and technical capability development and deployment.
Ensure robust product stewardship for the all products manufactured at the site, and end to-end technical oversight of product manufacturing processes, at all stages of their commercial lifecycle.
Foster collaboration with Manufacturing to drive technical Opex initiatives and resolve complex product/process investigations.
Own and drive operational excellence mindset to deliver savings through execution of continuous improvement projects to meet the TPC target per site master plan (site owner of TPC roadmap).
Define, measure, and execute innovative, quality and productivity projects using Lean and Six sigma tools and methodologies as project facilitator and/or sponsor.
Educate and train associates on Lean and Six-sigma tools and methodologies, mentor and train green belt and yellow belt certifications.
Identify improvement opportunities through Knowledge Management for future projects.
Plays an anchoring role for the development of a sustained continuous improvement culture at the site.
Supports the development and deployment of the multi-year site strategy & Opex master plan that includes elements of site’s data, digital and industry 4.0 initiatives.
Ensure continuous improvement programs / initiatives are aligned with requirements and guidelines of cGMP, HSE, internal audit, etc.
Key Performance Indicators
Processes are in control, remain capable and steady with accepted risks, as applicable.
Fulfillment of site validation master plan deliverables including timelines.
COGS and productivity improvement in sync with site strat & Opex master plan
Successful completion of technical changes and investigations in support of manufacturing team.
Compliance to TPC roadmap actions through execution of site strat and Opex master plan initiatives.
Integration of data, digital and industry 4.0 initiatives in the site master plan.
Percentage of staff trained in Continuous Improvement
Number of projects implemented/ certified associate (evergreen)
Site Opex capability development performance v plan
Continuous Improvement idea generation and realization measures
Compliance to project management principles (on time, in budget and meets deliverables)
Meet Opex program targets and timelines:
Deliverables as defined in project charter at the end of SCOPE phase.
