Position Overview

Reporting to the Deputy Director of the Risk Governance, Policy and Reporting (GPR), the candidate is responsible for the development, implementation and upkeeping the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system - governance, frameworks, policies, programmes and reporting. The candidate plays an integral part in the cross functional implementation of ERM system. A collaborative and proactive attitude is therefore necessary for the role.

This is a team lead role where the candidate is required to supervise, manage, and look into the professional development of the team. 

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and ensure effectiveness of the ERM system viz-a-viz governance, frameworks, methodologies, policies, processes, risk programmes and reporting.  Drive and embed risk management practices across the organisation.  Develop and implement the framework and statements for risk appetite and risk tolerance in relation to the risk domains.  Drive the implementation of centralisation of risk information.  Maintain central registry of risk policies, risk registers, operating guidelines, and procedures for new and updated items. Put in place risk reporting to stakeholders to highlight key risk areas, concerns, and measures to mitigate.  Produce and tailor reports and dashboards for risk monitoring and provide meaningful insights.  Drive discussions of key risk issues by the Board and Management level risk committees.  Keep up to date the latest risk management issues and emerging trends and identify relevant risks to stakeholders.  Develop framework, roadmaps, and programmes to drive risk awareness & competencies. Conduct risk workshops and develop courses and e-learning modules. Supervise and manage a team and ensure successful delivery of GPR plans, programmes & initiatives, and meeting expectations of stakeholders.  Manage and perform secretariate duties and/or support meetings.  Drive special and ad-hoc projects/reporting as required.

Requirements

A recognised university degree and have at least 8 to 10 years of relevant ERM experience. Preferably attained relevant professional qualifications in risk management e.g. CPRM, CERM. Strong technical knowledge in risk management frameworks & methodologies, leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO31000, COSO), technology risk or cybersecurity risk management in financial services or healthcare sector.  Proven leader with team management experience. Ability to apply data analytics and visualisation techniques to derive insights that support decision making. Solid business acumen with business services and operational support experience.  Hands on at work and thrive in challenging and ambiguous business environment. Outstanding relationship management capabilities, including dealing confidently with senior management and ability to influence them to drive change.  Strong competence is MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for report writing & preparation, presentation, and analytics.
