We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in RoR development and a proven track record of building and leading successful development teams from scratch. As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our presence in Hanoi, Vietnam, and shaping the future of our technology department. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development team in building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Ruby on Rails. Architect, design, and implement new features and functionalities, ensuring the technical feasibility and optimal performance. Build and nurture the team from scratch, ensuring a strong, collaborative, and motivated development unit. Mentor, guide, and inspire team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce best practices to maintain code quality and development efficiency. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, implementing best practices to enhance the team's skills and capabilities. Take ownership of project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Actively participate in recruiting and hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated development team.

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of its principles and best practices. Proven track record of successfully building and leading development teams, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment. 2 - 3 years of experience in building and nurturing teams from scratch. Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and web applications using RoR frameworks. Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Hanoi University of Science and Technology degree preferred). Experience working in remote environments or willingness to relocate to Hanoi, Vietnam, once the physical office is established.

Additional Information:

Location: Remote working until the physical office in Hanoi is established, then based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Salary: Up to 100 million VND gross per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Immediate availability is highly desirable; the position needs to be filled as soon as possible.
