Internship/ Project Brief:

Provide oversight to network devices firewall rules and posture. Assist StarHub in obtaining Cyber Security Agency of Singapore’s Cyber Trust mark certification.
Specific responsibilities/tasks that the intern will partake in: Prepare auditing script to generate reports for OS hardening baseline compliance and posture for Linux and Windows OS types. Prepare auditing script to generate reports for database security posture for different database flavors (eg. Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database etc). Prepare auditing script to generate reports for network devices (eg. Firewalls review etc). Develop OS hardening, database and network devices compliance checks implementation plan and workflows. Participate in required preparation to assist StarHub with obtaining Cyber Security Agency of Singapore’s Cyber Trust mark certification which includes conducting internal audits and checks on StarHub’s cybersecurity preparedness.
Positive takeaways upon completion of this project (How can the intern benefit from this project with us): Hands on experience with creating useful auditing scripts for OS hardening baseline compliance and security posture for various OS, database and network device types. Hone critical thinking and project management skills during implementation and execution of auditing scripts for compliance checks. Exposure to real-life cybersecurity landscape, have better appreciation of cybersecurity considerations and handling approaches in a big local telecommunication organization.

c. Scripting skills in either Python, C++, PowerShell or other relevant programming languages
