Key Role

As a Cyber Security Engineer at Wizlynx Group, you will act as a key expert in various domains of security. Your responsibilities will encompass leading and executing diverse projects, including the integration of security solutions and conducting thorough security assessments of client environments and information systems.

This position is integral to a team of IT security and information security professionals, dedicated to delivering exceptional services to both clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Evaluate the design and architecture of client environments against established security best practices and standards such as NIST 800-53, ISO27001, IEC62443, and CIS Top 20 Controls. Assess the configuration and security posture of client information assets (including security and network devices, workstations, servers, applications, and middleware) in accordance with security best practices and guidelines like the CIS Benchmarks. Oversee and implement complex projects involving the integration and enhancement of security solutions (firewalls, proxies, web application firewalls, DDoS protection, Endpoint Detection and Response, Identity and Privilege Access Management solutions, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools). Tailor industry security guidelines such as CIS Benchmarks or utilize checklists from the NIST Security Configuration Checklists Repository, customizing them as necessary to align with client policies. Conduct evaluations and maintain security system plans and procedures to protect internal information systems.

What we are looking for

a) Cyber Security Architect:

A minimum of 6 years of substantial Cyber Security experience in designing, implementing, and testing cybersecurity architecture, along with at least one of the following qualifications:

i. A Master's degree in Information Security from U.S. National Centres of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defence (NSA/DHS CAE) or those accredited by the U.K. National Cyber Security Centre (GCHQ's NCSC).

ii. CREST Registered Technical Security Architect (CRTSA); or

iii. Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP).

b) Cyber Security Engineer:

A minimum of 2 years of robust Cyber Security experience in designing, implementing, and testing cybersecurity solutions.

Minimum Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience. Strong foundation in security engineering, with extensive knowledge of IT network security (secure LAN, WAN, vLAN, Endpoint security, and secure network zoning). High proficiency across various operating systems including Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows. Solid background in Network Engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of Windows Server architecture, Windows Virtualization, Networking, Backup Solutions, and Disaster Recovery. In-depth knowledge and experience in designing and implementing technical security solutions such as secure remote access, endpoint security, firewalls, web proxies, and identity management solutions, both on-premises and in cloud environments. Proven understanding of current vulnerabilities, response strategies, and mitigation techniques in cybersecurity. Experience in designing and implementing technical security controls that align with NIST 800-53. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as CISSP or others that demonstrate core technical competencies.

Language Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages, such as Mandarin, is a plus.
