UCT is looking for a talented Sr. Director, Materials to join us in Singapore The Senior Director of Global Materials and Purchasing Management is responsible for managing all activities involved in purchasing and supply planning for UCT sites globally. Reporting to the SVP of Global Materials and SCM, the Senior Director of Global Materials and Purchasing Management will collaborate with managers, suppliers, third-party service providers and customers. In this role, they will connect business function and processes into a cohesive and high-performing business model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee global supply planning, forecasting and procurement functions. Manage purchasing organization namely GSC GSS Manage inventory levels and related strategy. Support S&OP GSC lead Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems. Develop performance measurement systems including key performance indicators to drive excellence in materials management. Develop material schedules and plan requirements for purchasing materials, using MRP and other planning systems. Work closely with customers and other UCT sites to transition materials for new products. Utilize multiple partners and distributions centers to optimize material flow and procurement. Work closely with internal groups, including engineering, quality, and sales to ensure functional specifications are met, parts are available as needed, and product quality is maintained. Select, develop, and evaluate managers and individual contributors. Recommend Changes to practices and procedures to support compliance with key local and global regulations affecting the business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced presentation skills. Ability to build and develop a strong team. Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications and MS Office Suite. Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must work well in collaborative situations. Ability to be creative, transparent and adaptive in a constantly evolving growth environment. Strong financial and business acumen. Experience in gas delivery components/sheet metal parts preferred. Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain; MBA or related preferred.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

Broad knowledge of materials, purchasing, production control methods, manufacturing methods and techniques. Experienced exposure to multi-location organization with factories in global locations. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma.

Management Experience:

10-15 years in leadership positions, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong management, leadership and organizational skills. Strong communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills; proven strong team building and employee development experience.
