Job Description
1. Shop Operations Oversight
· Oversee daily operations at the Singapore outlet, ensuring the shop opens, runs, and closes to brand standard.
· Conduct regular floor walks across shifts to check service flow, cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to SOPs.
· Act as the on-the-ground escalation point for shop-level issues, coordinating with the bakery/kitchen team and management as needed. 2. Operational Issue Resolution
· Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues (equipment faults, stock shortages, staffing gaps, delivery-platform disruptions, customer complaints escalated from crew) quickly and calmly.
· Troubleshoot POS, delivery-platform, and workforce-scheduling system issues on the shop floor, escalating to the relevant vendor or management when needed.
· Keep management informed of recurring or unresolved issues and propose fixes. 3. Continuous Operational Improvement
· Proactively identify inefficiencies in workflow, layout, staffing, or process, and propose practical improvements.
· Support the rollout of new products, systems, or procedures at the outlet, gathering frontline feedback.
· Track recurring problems and turn them into permanent process or SOP fixes rather than one-off fixes. 4. Staff Scheduling
· Build and maintain the weekly staff roster for the outlet, balancing trading hours, peak periods, and labour cost targets.
· Ensure schedules comply with Singapore's Employment Act and MOM regulations (working hours, rest days, overtime).
· Manage shift swaps, last-minute leave, and no-shows without disrupting service. 5. Staff Hiring and Part-Timer Training
· Support recruitment of part-time and full-time crew: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
· Deliver induction and on-the-job training for new hires, covering brand standards, food handling, POS, and customer service.
· Track trainee progress and sign off part-timers as fully trained and shift-ready. 6. Inventory and Stock-Taking
· Oversee stock counts and inventory accuracy at the outlet, and coordinate replenishment with the bakery/kitchen team.
· Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts and over-ordering, and flag wastage trends.
· Coordinate with the bakery/kitchen team on inventory auditing and with suppliers on discrepancies. 7. Operations SOPs
· Maintain, update, and enforce operational SOPs (opening/closing checklists, food safety, cash handling, customer service, delivery-platform operations).
· Ensure SOPs are accessible and understood by all crew, translated where needed for non-English-speaking staff.
· Audit SOP compliance and retrain where gaps are found. 8. Staffing Coverage
· Own the day-to-day balance between overstaffing and understaffing, ensuring every shift has enough people to run the outlet smoothly without excess labour cost.
· Maintain a pool of cross-trained, on-call staff to cover sick leave, no-shows, and peak/event demand.
· Monitor labour cost against sales in real time and adjust staffing accordingly. 9. Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
· Ensure the outlet meets food safety and hygiene standards required under Singapore Food Agency (SFA) guidelines, including staff hygiene practices, temperature control, and cleanliness checks.
· Maintain records required for health and safety compliance and act on any audit findings. 10. Cash, POS & Cost Control
· Oversee daily cash handling, POS reconciliation, and reporting of shop-level sales and variances.
· Monitor food cost, wastage, and labour cost as part of the outlet's operating performance. 11. Customer Experience Support
· Ensure customer experience in shop is always at brand’s standards
· Support frontline crew on customer complaints and service recovery, escalating brand or reputational issues to management.
· Uphold PRALET's brand experience standards across all customer touchpoints. 12. Ad Hoc & Company Matters
· Take on any other operations-related or company matters as needed, including support for events, pop-ups, and B2B activations.
· Represent operations in cross-functional discussions with marketing, bakery, and management. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Apply now: Send your CV to tim@creativeculinaire.com / whatsapp: +65 97995847 Come make dough moves with us Pay: From $3,000.00 per month
