EVYD Technology is a healthcare AI and Big Data company established with the aim to deliver data-driven solutions to address healthcare issues facing countries in Southeast Asia and beyond.

We are transforming healthcare through Data Intelligence. Our Big Data platform aggregates raw data that reside in disparate information systems and convert them into computable, structured and standardized data so that they could be further processed to derive deep insights and knowledge using natural language processing, machine learning and other AI technologies.

**IN BRIEF**
EVYD's legal department plays a critical role in supporting our businesses and operations around the world. We move quickly and thoughtfully to help address a variety of challenging legal issues in a rapidly shifting and complex environment. As a senior legal counsel/head of legal, you will also be a business partner to CEO & team in Singapore, Brunei & China.

**Key Responsibilities**:
+ Play a vital role advising on legal and regulatory issues across a wide array of our products and departments.
+ Ensure sound legal support to enable EVYD's growth in the region while minimizing risk to the business.
+ Provide advisory on capital raising, downstream transactions, and M&A-related activities.
+ Identify legal and compliance issues and provide advice to management on business strategy and operations.

+ Upon joining, you will become a valued member of our diverse global legal & compliance team, which includes a range of professionals across legal, compliance and corporate secretariat work.
+ Draft, review and negotiate all types of agreements in support of the company's business (e.g. commercial contracts, employment contracts)

+ Work with other members of the legal team to advise on legal interests and issues for the Company, with a focus on South East Asia and USA.

+ On a typical day, you could be asked to work on matters relating to financial information and data licensing, intellectual property, data privacy, vendor services agreements, regulation or employment, amongst others.
+ Manage and assist with resolving significant legal issues raised by the business.
+ Advice business on potential developments in the region's laws and regulations that would impact the company's interests.
+ Engage and lead outside counsel, including in relation to litigation or dispute resolution matters.

+ Duties will include analysis of risks and provision of legal advice focused on compliant and business-oriented solutions on a wide range of matters, including general commercial, research & developments, data security, cybersecurity, and employment.
+ Keep abreast of the trends and updates in laws and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
+ Work closely with business units and legal department of parent company

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent law qualification
- At least 6 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE), preferably with some years in a management position
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Both reputable law firm and in-house experiences are preferred
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with legal department based in China)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of legal principles, data security and compliance matters
- Strong attention to detail, able to thrive in a busy and hands-on environment
- Experience in healthcare sector is a bonus
