**Klaveness Dry Bulk** is a leading digital operator and pool manager in the Panamax market operating from offices in Oslo, Singapore, Dubai and Manila. Alongside the Torvald Klaveness overall ambition to improve the nature of shipping, Klaveness Dry Bulk is highly focused on leveraging our competencies to deliver value to our clients through a range of solutions. **Chartering Manager / Dry Bulk**
To complement the team of chartering executives, we are seeking a Chartering Manager to join our Dry Bulk team in Singapore. The chartering team is handling a growing cargo book and fleet of vessels that includes the largest Panamax pool, jointly managed with Marubeni. You will be joining a team that is utilizing cutting edge data to manage great volumes both in terms of covering long term COAs and in securing employment for the core fleet of vessels that comprises the Panamax pool - _Baumarine by MaruKlav_.
**Core Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Day to day execution (fixing) of both tonnage and cargoes. This encompasses the entire process from setting the early week targets, execution of the fixture including CP details, and seamless collaboration with the operations team for optimal outcome and capturing of key learnings
- Increase profitability of existing Trading Strategies through strategic decision making
- Initiating new Trading Strategies together with the team in unchartered territories
- Challenge, build, and improve decision making capabilities in cooperation with our ‘best-in-class’ Research Team
- Leverage Klaveness unique and extensive capabilities to deepen relationships with clients to being more than just an operator.
- Develop new client and brokers relations
- Contribute to Klaveness Dry Bulk initiatives around ‘Market Manager’ - a new business that capitalizes on our high level of domain knowledge and willingness to go deeper for our customers and the industry
**Required Qualifications and Experience**:
- Chartering experience with relevant market player(s)
- Shipping education
- 3 years+ in Dry Bulk
**Additional Advantageous Skills and Experience**:
- Data Analytics Insights and capabilities
- Exposure to Asia/Pacific markets**
**Personal qualities**:
- Willingness to learn from seniors in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- A strong team player with a willingness to place the team over self
