**What the role is**
- The Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance. At AGD, we aim to be a future-ready leader in transforming Public Sector finance by putting finance at the heart of our decision-making. We do this through building a strong foundation in providing robust financial systems and processes that serve key stakeholders including our pensioners, vendors and the public sector. Our team of accounting professionals work at AGD and are deployed to the public agencies to deliver a wide range of financial and accounting-related services to the Public Service. Together we play a critical role in helping the Government achieve its fiscal and economic objectives through sound stewardship. The Finance Associates Programme is AGD’s flagship developmental programme to build up talent pipeline for Public Sector Finance. The programme allows our associates to systematically acquire strong foundations in key domain areas of finance, operations and policy formulation across the Whole-Of-Government. Fresh graduates joining AGD under the programme will undergo a 12-month developmental phase comprising an expanded induction programme and 2 to 3 rotational stints of 4 - 6 months each across different finance functions. This will allow them to build up their competencies and accelerate career development as they take on leadership responsibilities early in their career.

**What you will be working on**
- As part of the Finance Associates Programme, you will be exposed to a wide spectrum of work through various deployments to finance functions at AGD and the public agencies. This includes developing financial systems and policies, driving the adoption of financial analytics across the Whole-of-Government, transforming business processes, preparing financial budgets and reports, managing Government's liquidity, reviewing internal controls and evaluating Government's programmes. You may also get the opportunity to undergo policy postings in MOF and other agencies and be involved in policy formulation. Associates are expected to participate in AGD-wide projects to build up their knowledge in Public Sector Finance.
