**What the role is**
- As a MOF-Social Programmes Officer, your job scope is to advance leading ideas in social policies, drive synergies across the social sector, and optimise resources in social expenditure. The policy issues you will work on could include, but are not limited to: social mobility, support for jobs and skills, ageing, and support for the at-risk and vulnerable.

**What you will be working on**
- You will be involved in identifying emerging issues and trends to inform the social sector policy agenda, and in developing new social schemes or programmes. You will also manage the budget and proposals of one or more of the social sector Ministries and agencies. You may also manage programme budgets for social policies that cut across agencies (e.g. marriage and parenthood). You will need to work closely with the ministry/agency on their (i) their budgets and manpower needs, (ii) proposals and national policies, and (iii) major infrastructure projects. The social sector Ministries include MOH, MOM, MOE and MSF. We also work with the Totalisator Board as it provides grants for selected social programs. You can expect to be exposed to a diverse and highly challenging range of issues. There will be ample opportunities for working closely with inter-agency stakeholders and senior management.

**What we are looking for**
- A good degree in finance, economics and/or accounting will be an advantage, but other disciplines are welcome - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills - Experience in quantitative analysis will be a strong advantage - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to influence and network with different stakeholders - Ability to work in teams
