**Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Executive Housekeeper will ensure that the Hotel provides saleable, well-furnished and maintained guestrooms, public area and associate area. He/She is also responsible for the high standards of customer service, sanitation and cleanliness in the Hotel. He/She is expected to champion the values of the organization, build and maintain positive working relationships with all guests and associates and actively contribute to the development of the Rooms Division Team.
- To liaise with other department on Housekeeping matters and handle feedbacks professionally
- To inspect VIP rooms to ensure that they are aligned with the desired standards
- To conduct random inspection on guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they are clean, presentable and maintained according to stipulated standards
- Maintain periodical inventories of all Housekeeping equipment and linens
- To evaluate the cleaning requirements of the Hotel, plan and initiate special cleaning assignments through delegation, organization and control
- To establish and document the standard operating procedures of Housekeeping, drive trainings or orientation sessions to inculcate such standards
- Conduct bi-weekly / monthly meetings with Managers and Supervisors to check on work progress and resolve work issues on the operation front
- Recommend improvements in hotel policies where there are opportunities for improving services, maximizing revenue and reducing costs when possible without comprising on quality standards
- Prepare yearly budget for the Department in relation to expenses and provision for capital expenditures
- Be involved in reviews of repair & maintenance issues, and coordinate with Engineering on a high level, ensuring all rooms are in good condition for the inventory
- Oversee renovation programs/plans according to specifications of requirements
- To inspect the work of outsourced contractors and ensure that such work conform to the specified standards
- To evaluate and complete Annual Performance Appraisal Exercise, establishing training and development needs for direct reports and overall department
- Responsible for the timely documentation and discipline of Associates in accordance with progressive coaching and counselling policy
- Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Rooms

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree from a recognized hospitality / tertiary institution
- A minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role in a large-scale Hotel or similar
- Possess a strong leadership and team building skills.
- A proven track record of maintaining superior standards of hotel cleanliness in a previous position or hotel.
- Strong experience of in-house Laundry operations and the equipment used in this department
- Strong track record of developing and educating a Housekeeping team.
- Knowledge of budget creation and interpretation of the monthly results with regards to all aspects of the Housekeeping operation.
- Must be knowledgeable in the Housekeeping Operations
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in supporting role.
