Roles & Responsibilities

**ROLE PURPOSE**
- Identifies opportunities in market for Same Day services at a regional level
- Ensures implementation of new Same Day services are in line with customer expectations and needs
- Provides input on service elements
- Defines new standard service elements
- Supports in solution design
- Responsible for statistical data on utilization, growth and profitability of new Same Day services
- Supports regional Vendor Management
- Supports creation of internal rates and selling rates for new services
**MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Gauges market demand for new Same Day services (performs competitor, customer and market research)
- Review and recruit new vendors (3rd party or DGF stations), when necessary, to meet and / or exceed DHL Same Day’s service and cost expectations
- Attend service reviews and contribute to vendor service feedback
- Continuous review / improvement of operational services & requirements in place to ensure market leading capabilities for DHL Same Day.
- Be an escalation contact point for operational challenges in the region.
- Initiates development of new products that meet market demand, by identifying opportunities and then communicating with Business Development and Tradelane Management roles
- Defines new standard Same Day service elements (e.g. new value added services possibilities, new direct trucking connection, new consolidation destinations etc.)
- Defines respective internal rates
- Provide solutions for projects and adhoc shipment requirements, as / when needed
- Coordinates training together with business development
- Undertakes and is responsible for all analysis and definition of local actions or the initiation of new services and enhancements with regards to utilization, growth and profitability of the new services
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Deep knowledge of general freight forwarding
- Strong analytical skills and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Results driven and attention to details
- Strong structuring skills
