Singapore NOMURA ASSET MANAGEMENT SINGAPORE LIMITED Full time

1) To be a member of the Board of Directors to Nomura Asset Management Singapore Limited, attending and contributing to the Board of Directors’ meetings, and providing effective oversight at the Board.

2) To be a member of the Business Continuity Management, Compliance, Broker Evaluation and other Committees.

3) To ensure that Nomura Asset Management Singapore Limited conducts its business within the objectives, strategies and plans set by the Board and the HQ.

4) To manage the appropriateness and adequacy of organisational structure, controls and policies against these businesses; monitoring the implementation of board-approved business model and objectives, strategies and plans, and the effectiveness of the organisational structure, controls and policies.

5) To achieve businesses objectives, strategies, plans to ensure responsible and appropriate use of Nomura Asset Management Singapore Limited financial resources.

6) To take reasonable steps to promote the right behaviour, professional ethics and good conduct practices of all the employees.

7) To allocate appropriate resources for each function. Assign applicable functions to each staff in such a way as to minimize/contain risk for example, reducing opportunities for financial crime, bribery and corruption or contravention of requirements and standards under the regulatory system.

8) To help the CEO to manage the firm to achieve its overall business objectives and to oversee each function including investments, trading, fund administration, performance and investment data analytics, information technology, business development, cross-border wealth management, product management, compliance, corporate administration and global business planning.

9) To directly report to the senior management in the headquarters in Japan as well as the HQ’s Board of Directors. This position is responsible for full accountability to internal and external stakeholders and shareholders as the management level of an overseas group company of a Japanese listed company.

1) More than 20 years working experiences in global asset management industry.

2) More than 5 years working experiences of management roles (department head or deputy head level in charge of business performance reporting to Senior Management, staff evaluation, resource allocations, business planning etc.) in asset management company which is listed in world’s major stock market or its group company.

3) More than 5 years working experiences of wholesale or marketing of mutual funds related businesses.

4) More than 5 years working experiences in investments as a portfolio manager.

5) More than 5 years working experiences of fund research or external fund management related businesses in asset management industry.

6) Business level English language for accurate communication, presentation and negotiation with global client, investors, consultants and/or business counterparties/partners.

7) Japanese language skill of JLPT N1 or equivalent for full accountability to internal and external stakeholders and shareholders of Japan HQ, representing the company, as well as to communicate and negotiate with client, prospect clients investors, consultants and/or business counterparties/partners.

1) Majored in economics or econometrics for undergraduate/master degree.

2) Qualification of CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CMA® (Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan).
