BW Product Services was established in February 2019. A division within BW LPG, the team provides customers with reliable, integrated LPG delivery services, by purchasing LPG and offering it delivered directly to buyers and receivers.

A small team with big ambitions, BW Product Services has grown from strength to strength. Our expansion was fast-tracked with the successful acquisition of the LPG trading operations from Vilma Oil in 2022, which brought a highly experienced team onboard.

BW Product Services aims to provide industry-leading service to customers while continuing to operate within disciplined capital requirements and defined risk thresholds. Led by BW Product Services CEO Amalio Hidalgo, the team serve customers from offices in Singapore, Oslo, Madrid and Houston.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to be an integral part of our PS operations team. In this role, you will manage demurrage claims and ensure smooth cargo operations. You will also collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to optimise vessel performance, mitigate risks, and uphold contractual obligations.
- Analyse charter party agreements and shipping and trading contracts to identify demurrage obligations and entitlements specific to LPG shipments.
- Monitor vessel operations and cargo discharge/loading processes to minimise demurrage costs and maximise operational efficiency.
- Prepare and submit demurrage claims to charterers and counterparties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms and industry standards.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes related to demurrage and cargo claims with charterers, owners, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of demurrage calculations, correspondence, and claim settlements for accurate reporting and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including chartering, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment on demurrage-related matters and optimise commercial outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to demurrage and cargo claims management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in the shipping and trading industry.
- Proven experience in demurrage management and cargo claims handling, preferably within the LPG shipping sector.
- Deep understanding of charter party agreements, shipping contracts, and international trade regulations governing LPG shipments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms, financial data, and vessel performance metrics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and demurrage calculation software, is desirable.

**OTHER INFORMATION**
This position will be based in Singapore or Madrid.
