**Tanker Charterer**

Key Responsibilities:

- Chartering Management: Negotiate and finalize vessel charters with shipowners, operators, and brokers. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including vetting of vessels and contracts. Manage the negotiation and execution of Forward Freight Agreements (FFAs) and Time Charter Agreements (TCAs).
- Market Analysis: Monitor the tanker market to identify potential chartering opportunities and trends. Provide analysis and insights to the management team regarding supply and demand, freight rates, and other relevant market indicators.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including traders, operations teams, and legal department, as well as external parties such as shipowners, brokers, and port agents.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage the risks associated with tanker chartering, including operational, commercial, and financial risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Documentation Management: Ensure accurate and timely preparation and execution of all chartering-related documentation, including charter parties, bills of lading, and other contracts.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor vessel performance, including compliance with safety and environmental standards, on-time delivery, and adherence to contractual obligations. Resolve any issues related to vessel performance in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as shipping, logistics, or business administration.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in tanker chartering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of the tanker market, including freight rates, supply and demand dynamics, and vessel types.
- Proven ability to negotiate and finalize vessel charters in a timely and effective manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage risk.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
