**Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties**:
**_Assistant Accountant, General Ledger and Accounts Payable _**
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet schedules, including but not limiting those relating to fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals.
- Prepare balance sheet and profit or loss reconciliations and analysis as part of the monthly-closing process.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of invoices in the accounting system.
- Review and process invoices and payments to vendors in line with internal policies and procedures.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to handle enquiries and discrepancies, if any.
- Prepare monthly Accounts Payable reports, including AP aging,
- Support annual statutory audits, including liaising with auditors and preparation of financial statements.
- Support the finance team in system implementation initiatives.
- Other ad hoc tasks to support the Finance team.
- Degree in Accountancy or Diploma in Accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Meticulous with an eye for details.
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight timelines.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
