**Job Summary**:
The Quality Representative for an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) conversion project in a shipyard is responsible for ensuring that all conversion activities adhere to established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections and audits, and collaborating with shipyard and project teams to implement quality assurance measures.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Quality Management System (QMS)**:

- Implement and maintain the project-specific Quality Management System in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all conversion activities are performed in compliance with the QMS.

**Inspections and Audits**:

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of shipyard activities, including structural modifications, equipment installations, and system integrations.
- Identify and document non-conformances, and ensure timely resolution and corrective actions.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and non-conformance reports.
- Generate regular quality performance reports for management and stakeholders.

**Compliance and Standards**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME) and client-specific requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in industry standards and regulatory requirements.

**Coordination and Communication**:

- Liaise with shipyard personnel, contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication of quality standards and expectations.
- Provide guidance and training on quality procedures and best practices.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in lessons learned sessions.

**Risk Management**:

- Assess quality-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control roles, preferably in the oil and gas or maritime industry.
- Experience with FPSO conversion projects or similar shipyard projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME).
- Proficiency in quality auditing and inspection techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

**Working Conditions**:
