Role Summary:
As a member of Apical’s Strategic Planning team, you will carry out industry, value chain and business feasibility analysis to support top management in its strategic decision-making.
**Responsibilities**:
You will participate directly in the Group’s development projects, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and play the key supporting role in coordinating both external and internal parties in order to complete deals in an efficient manner. In addition, you are responsible for conducting feasibility studies, market analysis, benchmarking exercise and developing the group’s future growth plan.

The position will report to the Head of Strategic Planning. This position also requires seamless coordination with the Business Units’ commercial, operations, trading and finance teams.
**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Good degree in Finance, Accountancy, Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics or Sciences, from a reputable university. MBA, CFA will be considered favourably.
- Good knowledge of strategic planning, corporate finance, valuation techniques and investment principles. Strong market research, corporate finance and technical capabilities, covering industry analysis (particularly in-depth analysis of palm oil market landscape), competitor analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, acquisition financing, funding, financial review and long-range strategic planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - both in oral and written form in English
- Ability to work independently and in a team. Must have in-depth deal transaction experience from start to finish. Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, creative in solving difficult issues, strong commercial sense and results-oriented.
- Possess high integrity, professionalism, maturity, positive work attitude and ethnics, versatile, hands-on approach, good attention to details. Must be willing to travel.
