DESIGNATION : Channel Manager (DC)
RESPONSIBILITIES
You are part of the Device Connectors Sales team.
You identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales with the full range of Phoenix Contact products in both new and existing distribution network.
A long-term business partnership and achievement of Regional DC Sales goals are ensured through a professional customer approach.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop business strategic plan for channel distribution within assigned regions and maintaining a collaborative aligned relationship as an integral part of the BA DC SEA team
- Maintain, Source, negotiate and appoint appropriate distributors and agents in assigned target markets together with the global and local Management
- Achieving the overall Sales target in the assigned set of assigned distribution network
- Establish, monitor and review distributors’ performance KPI on regular basis
- Develop new customers and manage existing accounts by means of long / mid-term Sales Account Development Strategies together with distribution network.
- Establish regular direct field presence through joint visits to key end-customers with distributors to grow sales, opportunities and foster a positive customer relationship
- Proactively work with Product Marketing team to co-develop relevant training and educational materials for distributors and end customers.
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with supporting departments with SEA Finance & Controlling, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Communication, Quality & Assurance.
- Report submission to be done timely, as required by Reporting Manager and other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned
- Updated with recent industrial and market business knowledge on area of responsibility:
- By representing the company in attending industrial events and fairs, roadshows and formal business functions
- Knowledge transfer within the BA DC SEA Sales & Marketing Team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5-year experience in Electronics industry relating to Official Channels or Network Distribution.
- Experience in handling OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) & Contract Manufacturers, will be a plus
- Experience in interacting with cross-cultures to generate commitment to action.
- Understand distributors’/customers’ needs and other influencing factors will be a plus
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Possess valid driving license and own vehicle will be an advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Customer-driven and results-oriented.
- Aggressive, persistent, proactive and must be a good team player.
- Disciplined, hardworking and able to perform under pressure.
- Willing to travel overseas for training, trade shows and/or meetings etc.
