The successful applicant for this position will be joining Development Services (DS) team in Lonza Singapore, responsible for drafting DS Master Schedule at high level indicating stage starting and completion week of tasks. This individual will work very closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in DS labs (Cell Culture Development, Purification Development, and Analytical Development), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Proposals team and Program managers to ensure schedules are accurate to be translated by section managers.
The individual is also expected to have a good visualization of capacity utilization, equipment and man-hours quantification in order for effective interaction with Finance (FIN).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review draft proposals and perform site fit assessment.
- Develop and define DS Master Schedule according to agreed scopes for all groups in DS for execution using appropriate tools.
- Define the planned start / completion dates or weeks for all tasks within agreed schedule by DS managers.
- Maintain the accuracies of the resource planning and schedule through close tracking of the actual start/ completion week.
- Review schedule for adherence to during tiered reviews and escalate timeline-associated risks and impacts to the corresponding function head as needed. Revise and refine project schedules arising from non-adherence schedule.
- Possess administrative rights for scheduling software and tools as needed.
- Act as single-point contact for all DS functions with respect to all activities which may affect scheduling
- Communicate changes (i.e. additions and deletions) in schedule to relevant groups e.g. CCD, PD, AD.
- Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against optimal sequencing and efficient resource (facility/suite, equipment, staff, materials etc.) utilization.
- Create and propose time slots and calibrate the options across DS functions based on an amendment and / or a statement of work.
- Collaborate closely with SCM and lab services team to ensure material requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Identify and communicate potential bottlenecks and/ or constraints to DS Management.
- By request, work with technical team on planning project media/ buffer requirements for each project and determine the need-by dates for these solutions.
- Review and update the DS Schedule / Planning sheets for monthly resources review.
- Cooperate closely with FIN in providing forecast on and maintenance of capacity utilization, equipment and man hours
- Attend other planning/ scheduling meetings onsite e.g. Supply/Demand meeting / Site Supply meeting etc
- Liaise within DS stakeholders to follow up on actions taken from project planning meetings.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by your Lead/ Manager
**Key Requirement**:
- Degree in a related Science/Engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years work experiences in R&D drug development and non-GMP regulated environment
- Effective interaction skills with SCM, FIN and Program Management (PM) teams
- Strong analytical/ problem solving skills and attention to details
- Ability to influence peers and teams with no direct reporting lines
- General understanding of product lifecycle management and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong risk management skills.
- Understand the science behind each CMC product development stage.
- Be able to link a change/decision to its impact on local and global business strategies.
