Logistics Director

Job Descriptions:
- Overseeing the movement, distribution and storage of supplies and materials in the company.
- Organizing warehouse, label goods, plot routes and process shipments.
- Managing inventory as well as warehouse, transportation and other logistics processes.
- Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates.
- Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Regularly researching ideal shipping techniques, routing and carriers.
- Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
- Updating and evaluating metrics to access performance and implement enhancements and to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
- Developing new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
- Creating, managing and monitoring the logistic budgets.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of workflows, templates and processes; maintain project timelines.
- Interprets data received from junior individual contributors and develops recommendations that optimize performance.
- Leads cross-functional project teams, providing mentoring and guidance.
- Responds to any issues or complaints.
- Works with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Ensures that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction and financial commitments are met.
- Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers and customers.
- Manages and develops logistics staffs.
